The Cooperative Research Centre for
Contamination Assessment and Remediation of the Environment (CRC
CARE) offers Honours scholarships of $10,000 per annum (for full
time study).
Successful applicants
will enrol in the relevant honours degree at a CRC CARE partner
university. CRC partner universities are University of South
Australia, Curtin University of Technology, University of
Queensland, University of Technology Sydney and Southern Cross
University.
CRC CARE Honours
Scholarships are awarded in two rounds per year for commencement in
the Australian 1st semester or 2nd semester and are for full-time
study only.
CRC CARE Honours
Scholarships are available in the following areas:

Environmental and human
health risk assessment including the development, testing and
validation of new tools and technologies for contaminant assessment
and monitoring;

Chemical fate and
behaviour in the terrestrial environment;

Remediation
technologies that range from risk based approach for managing site
contamination to the development of innovative bio and
chemi-remediation for toxic substances;

Research will include
the development, testing and validation of innovative remediation
technologies;

Waste Characterisation,
toxicity assessment, management and reuse of solid and liquid
waste;
-
Legal, social and
economic issues relating to contamination.
Specific requirements
shall be outlined in the project descriptions, however eligible
students should be enrolled in undergraduate courses with an
environmental contamination focus.
The duration of the
Honours Scholarship will be for up to 1 year.
