(Cooperative Research Centre for Contamination Assessment and
Remediation of the Environment)
An opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow and PhD student to
conduct research in a CRC-CARE funded project entitled
“development of an in-situ in-vitro cell system for real time
measurement of toxicological effects of organic mixtures in the air
and groundwater”
The role: Exciting research project for a PhD scholar to
be enrolled in the University of Queensland. This project will
provide opportunities for the candidate to collaborate with
researchers from a variety of disciplines in the field of in-vitro
cell cytotoxicity assays, cell biology, advanced analytical
chemistry and health risk assessment.
The person: Honours IIA or above (or relevant research
experience) in Biological and Chemical Sciences or Environmental
Science. A motivated and high quality student will be appointed.

Remuneration: The current stipend rate is $28,500 p.a.
plus professional development allowance of $5,000. The stipend is
available for a period of three years (contingent on satisfactory
study progress).
