11 May 2011: Sewage waste is piling up in the cities and could, if treated, be used on farms. Bio-solids are being fed into a synchrotron, making it safe for use as a fertiliser. The piles of manure contain essential nutrients like phosphorus but there are also metals like lead and cadmium which make the waste unsafe.
