Project Summary
The aim of this project is to produce a comprehensive
description of current site contamination law and policy in each
jurisdiction within Australia, and also at the national level
(including the NEPM on site assessment). New Zealand will be
included in this survey if possible.
A second aim will be to examine the extent to which cooperative
arrangements between the Commonwealth and the States have produced
uniform or consistent approaches to the identification, assessment
and remediation of contaminated sites in Australia.
