This subprogram develops and validates tools and low cost
advanced techniques for sampling and analysis including:
- New tools for investigating and monitoring the common and more
toxic contaminants in soil, water and air
- Rapid assessment technology and sensors for monitoring to
increase speed and efficiency of site contaminant
investigation
- Remote sensing technologies for assessing contaminants in
air
- Development and validation of air pollution dispersal
models
