This research seeks to overcome the
high uncertainty over toxic exposure pathways which are of
particular concern in Australia. It is developing:
- Models that quantify the flux of volatile contaminants taking
into account factors specific to Australia
- Models that quantify the bioavailability and uptake of
contaminants in garden produce from gardens in Australian
cities
- Models that describe the fate of contaminant sources, and
- Techniques and predictive models for rapidly determining
contaminant exposure levels in complex urban environments.
