Remediation technologies for contaminated groundwater

This research draws on work from other CRC CARE Programs and will determine:

  • The ability of monitored natural attenuation to meet Australian regulatory requirements
  • The characterisation and subsequent reduction of non-aqueous phase liquids (NAPLs) in all situations to levels that meet regulatory requirements for a 'practicable level of clean up’
  • The development and practical application of permeable reactive barriers for Australian conditions and requirements and
  • The remediation of acid sulphate soil sites.
